RESTORATION OF ARTWORK BANKSY
Introduction
On a exhibition in the Museum, where hung an artwork of the famous artist Bansky, title: “Arrow Head”, oil and mixed media on canvas , 70 x 60 cm ( 2009) , a visitor has walked against the artwork, and so a part of the Arrow has been broken off.
Restoration Atelier Picard, was invited by the museum , to restore this masterpiece.
Restoration
The surface of the broken Arrow was sanded with fine sandpaper and the 2 parts are glued together with pva-glue, with help of grips.
Then on the former scar, there we made some small retouches. (Schmincke watercolor)
The restoration has been done within 2 days. (May 2025)
